Completely independent real sinusoidal alternating current

The high-quality digital sinusoidal AC inverter IVT DSW-300, 12 V, 300 W, reliably and accurately converts 12 V direct current into a real 230 V sinusoidal alternating current of 230 V/50 Hz. Irrespective of the public mains supply, even sensitive devices such as electric tools, chargers, laptops or TV sets can be supplied with electricity without fault.

The power start function and the high peak output power of 600 W facilitate the smooth operation of critical devices with high start-up current such as e.g. compressors or pumps. Comprehensive safety features such as galvanic isolation, and protection against short-circuits, polarity reversal, overload, over-voltage, over-heating and dynamic deep discharge protection allow a professional use.

The internal electricity consumption of the AC converter can be reduced to a minimum thanks to the optional energy-saving functions (sleep, standby).
The AC inverter can be permanently installed in vehicles due to the E-certification.

 Microprocessor-controlled electronics                              


A microprocessor forms the heart of the AC inverter. This control center monitors the most important parameters of the electronic system such as input voltage and frequency. This ensures constant stability of the output voltage.

 

 Continuous power 300 W - peak output power 600 W                              


Especially devices that require a high start-up current do not always start smoothly. For this reason, all DSW AC inverters are designed in such a way that they deliver twice the normal continuous output for a short time.


   To find the appropriate AC converter, you need to know the total power requirement.
   The total is the sum of the power (W or VA) of all individual devices.
   We recommend that you include a power reserve of 30 - 40% on top of that.

 Power start function for loads with high start-up current                              


All DSW AC inverters have a power start function as standard.


Start-up current:

When switching on a device, the start-up current can reach 5 to 10 times the specified nominal current.
The power start-up function tries to compensate for this by briefly starting 5 times with maximum output power.





 

 E-certification: Suitable for permanent installation in vehicles                              


  The digital sinusoidal AC inverters meet the legal requirements of the ECE regulations and therefore have E-certification. They are suitable for permanent installation in all vehicles such as passenger cars, utility vehicles or other vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12 V.  

 

 Galvanic isolation of input and output stage                              




Galvanic isolation (see figure above):
There is no electric conductivity between the input and output circuit thanks to galvanic isolation. Therefore, personal security equipment (RCCB) is not necessary even when connecting a 230 V device in a commercial setting.

When connecting a multi-outlet power strip and simultaneously using several 230 V devices, the workers' compensation board dictates that each additional device must be RCCB-protected. Please contact your workers' compensation board or go to www.bgbau-medien.de

  

 Comprehensive safety functions                              


IVT inverters provide protection against polarity reversal and over-voltage at the input stage as well as against short-circuit and overload at the output stage. The inverter switches off automatically when overheating.

 

 Dynamic deep discharge protection                             


On one hand, the dynamic deep discharge protection ensures that the battery is protected from deep discharge; on the other hand, it allows devices with high start-up current since the switch-off limit is lowered briefly.

Using the optionally available remote controls FB-04, FB-05 and the webbox-LCD it is also possible to adapt the deep discharge protection individually. A voltage between 9 V and 12 V (for 12 V models) or between 18 V and 24 V (for 24 V models) can be selected.

If the set limit value is reached, the AC inverter first indicates this with flashing of the input LED. Subsequently, the power output of the AC inverter switches off automatically. The power output switches on again only when the battery has reached the required switch-on voltage again.


 

 Optional energy-saving functions: Standby, sleep                              






 

Standby function:
If the AC inverter is not used continuously, the optional standby function can be used
to reduce the internal energy consumption of the AC inverter by approx. 90%. To do this, only
DIP-switch 2 (see figure) needs to be moved. The device now checks approx. every 10 seconds
whether a load is present. If the AC inverter detects a load above the standby limit,
it switches the 230 V AC output on to return to the normal operating mode.

 








    


Sleep function:

All AC inverters of the DSW series also have a sleep function.
If the power output is not used for more than 10 minutes, the AC inverter
switches off automatically and does no longer consume power.

The device is switched on again by switching it off and on again directly at the device or using
the remote switch FS-01, FS-02 when it is in a location that is difficult to access.

The sleep function can be activated or deactivated directly at the device using DIP-switch 1 (see figure). This prevents unnecessary discharging of the battery.

suitable for plug types C (Euro plug) and F (Schuko plug®) as standard.

(e.g. United Kingdom) and plug types E, C (France, many Eastern European countries).

 5 V USB socket as standard                              


All DSW AC inverters have a 5 V USB socket for power supply to suitable devices such as mobile phones, tablets, cameras or navigation systems.

 

 Power and temperature-controlled fan                              


The power and temperature-controlled fan minimizes the noise of the AC inverter since it is only activated when necessary.

 

 Lightweight and powerful                              


The DSW AC inverters stand out due to their low weight.
Common AC inverters are often equipped with large ring transformers. This makes them heavy and difficult to handle. In contrast to this, the microprocessor-controlled IVT AC inverters function digitally thanks to innovative technology: large, heavy components are obsolete and are replaced with small and powerful ones.

The valuable inner workings of the AC inverter are protected by a solid and stable metal housing.
The AC inverter can be installed securely everywhere thanks to the installation rail.

AC inverters are often installed in location that are difficult to access during later operation. All DSW AC inverters can be switched on and off at a suitable location using the remote switches FS-01 (attachment version) and FS-02 (inbuilt version) In this case, the remote switch replaces the main switch at the AC inverter.

Using the optionally available remote controls FB-04 (with cable), FB-05 (wireless) and the webbox-LCD) operation in an existing computer network) it is also possible to adapt the deep discharge protection individually.

With the 12 V models, a voltage between 9 V and 12 V cable be selected, while a voltage between 18 V and 24 V can be selected with the 24 V models.

The remote controls and the webbox-LCD also have the advantage that up to 4 devices (AC inverters of IVT DSW series, solar controllers of MPPTplus+ series) can be controlled and monitored individually.


 

 Fitting connection cable sets                              


For a safe and fault-free operation of the DSW AC inverters, we recommend to use original IVT connection cables.

Their diameter is exactly fitted to the respective AC inverter.
The high-quality production of our connection cables guarantees a very long operating life even with high loads.

The cable set is prefabricated with appropriate ring lugs and end splices for connection to the battery and the
AC inverter. All original IVT connection cables are delivered including fuse holder and 200 A fuse.
